bleeding hell...not only is most every software and addon im working on going thru a major rewrites at the same time, now my lighting also is lol...
anyone notice this? ive been scouring thru old invoices for over an hour to try and track where i even bough the dang things...
its nice they are offering to replace/upgrade everyones gear for free, including shipping, but how are they gonna force us to go without lights for 1-2 weeks while they process it...ugh...mean....lot of extra work moving heavy ass raptors then taking them down a week later...i could do without, but i swallow the doses as they come...
so im guessing theres ppl here who use them but dont know about this, so just to mention....
they have actually upgraded major 2 times in the last 6 months so, im actually 2 models behind just by running 1.5 crops lol....
so what i have is the rtu models(usb that is controlled by the windows app)
then they replaced them with "app" rtu's which are controlled by more OS like android...but still use the thumb drive, but need the specific rtu and ballast, dtu all has to match...if i understand that right...
then today i get one in the mail for a room im building.....no usb slot at all....they seem to be on bluetooth by now and talk directly to the dtu? do i have that right?
well anyway we got till 4.20.17 for free replacements...they are tacking on a 10$ a month fee for online access too, so mean....i think we can probably get around it by creating a remote access, like a raspberry pi or such, then hook that to the internet/smartphone remotely, but still...it will be some work and research so i will try to put up a better informational topic once i get into the new models more...
whew sometimes i hate surprises haha, love progress tho :p
