ITYK's Harvest History

Hey there folks!

Despite how the name of the thread might sound, this isn't gonna be a thread spent digging up old pics of old T5 TGA harvests. Instead, it's meant to be a running history log of my harvests I can reflect back on as well as provide info out to the community as I do a little bit of seed testing these days. It'll also help me hone my amateurish photography skills.

We're gonna start with my final run of Jamaican x Old Mama Ghani that I received as a tester from Bodhi. I'd rate it as follows:

Taste/Smell: B
High: B
Visual Appeal: B
Yield: A
Structure: A
Overall: B+

Not quite a keeper in my book, but good enough to run a couple times. The yield is quite big too, so a couple times is enough!

Hello hello!

I've been stewing over this for a little bit now. I've got a few plants that have some absolutely killer traits. Just a couple. But the time has come for me to share them with y'all.

First up is OCG. This is a cross by Gooeybreeder. He gifted me the seeds. They're a cross of Gooey x Ol Cali. I call it Ol Cali Goo, or OCG for short.

As you can see in the pics, it gets incredibly frosty very early. You can see that the fungus gnats get stuck pretty easily to the sugar leaf. There are very slight hints of purple and pink here and there in the buds, but they're predominantly green. The smell and taste is a strong sweet hibiscus berry. Great quality bud.

i just now stumbled across these...been around a few years, i never heard of the idea before tho...my oscillating fans are by far the loudest thing in my room and can be heard outside even...

there are also a line of you tubes on building them yourself, pretty interesting....anyone play around with the tech at all? own one, built one?

200$ is an expensive change from my cheap ones but it is a pretty clean im already dreaming sigh lol....hey look on the bright side you can put your head in it without hurting yourself aha

Hello friends, Some of you I'm sure are new and some know me from years of posting until I began a huge downward spiral. I would try to keep it short and simple but it's not, even the condensed version is long, and i could write a book at this point to be honest.
I am a recovering drug addict. Opiates and painkillers mainly. I was a semi functional addict for over 10 years, I moved to California in 2000 at the age of 18, started with a 600 watt light in a closet and a full time job and worked my way up to growing major outdoor plots/ greenhouse/ and warehouses. you can check my threads to see my credentials and the amount of time and dedication I put into growing Medical Marijuana. When my house burnt down in 2010 I began to use drugs more heavily and frequently but somehow managed to continue growing and making a living for another 3 years. In 2013 I began my first detox, Isolated at a house in a shady neighborhood. I quit everything cold turkey and moved back to Georgia to live with my family and take a break while supposedly working on my recovery. Well that didn't turn out to be a good idea as i picked up right where i left off within a week of being back in Georgia. I almost immediately made plans to move back out west and was back in California 6 months later, in not much better shape than i was when i had left.
I had the opportunity to live away from the city up north to help a friend who was doing quite well at the time. 2 months later he kicked me out so his parents could move in due to an illness in the family. from there I had no choice but to couch surf back towards the city i was trying to stay away from. I lucked out and found a place in the hills where i could stay rent free in exchange for tending the outdoor crop. Since no sort of payment was ever discussed I quit working for him and moved into another friends house in the city.
i knew i didn't want to do opiates anymore but was scared of the withdrawals since i had to function to work and make money. I was on a replacement drug called suboxone for over a year. growing did not become a priority after couch surfing for almost 2 years and battling the demons of addiction. I got a DUI in June of 2015 and decided enough was enough after waking up in the sacramento county jail. Shortly there after being passed from friend to friend to friend..... I was taken to the ER put on a 3 day hold, and admitted to a psych ward. everything I was diagnosed with was due to severe drug withdrawal. then of course they tried to put me on meds for psychosis which I probably needed at the time but ultimately quit taking due to the side effects.
that July I attended course at an Ashram in Grass Valley called Yoga of recovery , A yoga course geared towards addicts and recovering addicts. I enjoyed my stay there. upon returning to the persons house where i was staying at on an air mattress in his dining room I was kicked out.
Having nowhere else to go I applied for the work/study program at the Ashram / Yoga farm I had just visited. I stayed there for 3 months and participated in most of the programs they had to offer. I also worked in the kitchen and helped with maintenance. Sleeping in a tent can be rough though and I decided for me and my dogs sake to once again move back to Georgia, at least this time healthier than I had been in years and not to mention sober. since I have been back I've managed to get a full-time job with a turf management and landscaping company mainly working on college and pro ball fields in the southern region. Its extremely intense labor and the pay is better than nothing but it's not something i have a lot of experience in nor am I passionate about it. Everyday I think about growing again.
Im saving money in hopes of moving back west someday or to any medical state for that matter and have close to 15 years of experience. Im looking for places/ jobs in the industry to get back on my feet again. sorry for the rant but i thought this would be a good place to get it off my chest. If anyone has any leads on rooms for rent and or places/people hiring in any med states or can help in an way please let me know or PM me. Sorry I have been MIA for so long

Chem d x ssdd* testers *

Hi bb got blessed to run some Chem d x ssdd for some tester they just sprouted ground about a week ago!Their shells Cracked within 24 hrs They all broke soil within 36 hours as well.. nothing new it's bodhi gear ' a quick rundown of my set up I run amare LedsI use my own soil that I mix (got the rrecipe from a great organic friend still helps me! Onto the testers ! All 6 ggerm ed one runt oh well. I'll be poppin the rest when my veg tent arrives it'sa new grow new everything do might as well test as well ! It's selfish imo lol here they I'll update when I can every month or so !

Bodhi Tester Thread: GSC x Durban, Bodhi's SSH x G13Hp

Hey guys. I was blessed with the opportunity to test these two Bodhi strains: GSC x Durban and Bodhi's SSH x G13HP. I've got them under LEDs right now(one official VIPAR 300 and a ebay scam job from China). These seem to be going smoothly right now, after a little adjusting to Root Organics Indoor mix. I think they are around day 45 right now, so I'm currently trying to remove the males from the lot. I went into the lab last night and 4 SSHs were bustin out Ron Jeremy status. So I'm working with the remaining 4 SSs and I'm waiting a few days to make a definitive assessment of the 9 GSCs. Once All are determined I'll veg for an additional week under HPS to encourage internode lengthing.

If anybody has any info of the strains used in these crosses, please divulge. I'd especially appreciate info on the Durban male and what it could potential impart terp-wise. I'd love to find a gem GSC dom femme that actually yields. I've only found one pick of Bodhi's SSh and it looked absolutely IPAD or Iphone... till I can afford upgrades. Nonetheless, I've been one of the many that have been blessed by Bodhi with ever test drop, but have seldomly been extensive with a review. So I'm trying to change that.... as much as this is a portrayal thread of Bodhi's varieties, its also a Bodhi appreciation thread... because I most definitely appreciate the man and what he does.

I got a hyperactive 2 year old son and I work a shit ton of hours, so updates will be sparse, hopefully every 2 weeks at most... but Bodhi you have my full assurance that this thread will begin and end bro. Again thank you, and I hope all you fellow Bbayers enjoy the show.

"Chocolate Thai" x Egyptian Landrace

So I put the Chocolate Thai in quotations because I'm skeptical of it actually being Thai, despite the detailed background info. It appears to be the same cut Turtle_Weed has. Crossed it with a NL5 Haze around a year ago. Just finishing up a BX1 which should yield much better.

This cross added some much needed frost to the Egyptian Landrace, which admittedly wasn't very frosty. She ate a lot more N than most of her neighbors. Trying out a new bottle/amendments and looks like I need more N

COOL things about getting older!

Although getting older sucks in general, I have found a few cool aspects as well! The number one thing of course is Grandchildren. I love my granddaughter so much words can't express how much joy she gives Me. Admittedly, the fact their GRANDKIDS is a part of it. You get to spoil them rotten, buy them way more than they deserve, take them to the coolest things and places and at the end of the day they get go home to YOUR kid and Inlaws and keep them up all night! Also all those little life lessons that annoyed your kids seem to come back to haunt them and you don't even have to say " See I told you!" You just chuckle! Also songs you like are being played in elevators and stores! They play a generic business station like SiriusXM or similar and about 25% of the tunes are on my Ipod! Cool! Also the older ya' get the more Lee way the cops and security guards give you. You start escaping the profile and the harassment you got when you were younger! I was at an Allman Brothers concert in Saratoga a couple of years ago and some teens were getting a little annoying to some of the older folks at the show just being a little to open with the chillum. I saw one of the nearby Moms go to the Killer Bees and complain and sure enough here comes a 6' 4" gorilla telling the kids to be more discreet or they would get tossed from the show or arrested or both. Then he glances down at the joint I was cupping in my hand and says "Have a great show" and goes his merry way. The same goes for traffic stops. Anyone that looks/acts like they are fairly knowledgeable about their rights and could afford an attorney are treated far better than when you were 18-25. Man when your a teen driver and a pot head they can and do make your life Hell. I know. And next year I get AARP discounts! He He. Anyone else seeing a silver lining in your silver hair? Well I have a grey beard, only a few grey hairs but I earned every one!

Had trouble with my first Sonic pack. Got this Parvati pack and the first female I found was everything I hoped for from Sonic's work. High yielding sativa covered in trichs and a high bud to leaf ratio. Couldn't ask for more.

Jungle Kush and Mandarina

here are some pictures of clones I took from my last grow(from seed). The jungle Kush is a strong smoke,good for relaxing :) I have 3 Phenos.1 and 3 are almost the same in smell,high and finshed around 65 days.The other pheno (2) finishes very fast around 50 days and the smell is very strong and pungent.yield is small compared to the other two but quality is out of this world :). I keep pheno 1 and 2. The Mandarina smells great,rich/tropical-mango_banana_orange and very strong.There is two phenos Blockhead and long pointed buds.both smell the same :) and have a wonderful taste and strong high.:cowboy::cowboy: Great breading from Trichrome jungle seeds !!! easy to grow with little problems.

Been a while! This Lemon G x 88G13HP was the only female out of 5 seeds. While she was growing, she barely smelt like anything until you grabbed some resin. The resin smelt like lemonhead candy. It wasn't a super sugary lemon smell but more sharp on the lemons. Very sticky when breaking up and she's not too dense, shes fluffy but not airy. The terps have changed slightly in the cure from that lemonish smell to a fruit punch with lemon smell. She tastes just like she smells, fire. I didn't save any cuts of her but she was worth it for the high. It was very sativa feeling, gets your head way up there. Its almost psychedelic and trippy feeling. A pleasant smoke for sure. I'm glad I have 6 beans of this strain and some more Bodhi gear to run thru :farmer::smily-spl

In advance of the next release of Pure Gooey 2016 version

Hi folks,
Just kind of a shifting method to the old classic PG cubing project that I wanted to get out there for folks following such things.:)

One thing about Pure Gooey 2016, it's a different cubing than the others, different goals in mind that I'll share here with you.


Pure Gooey's taste needed upgrading.



Mom's nice and all, don't get me wrong, but myself and others didn't care so much for the old golds taste that she has and that she passes down to her kids. I wanted more of the Thai's tastes to come through.
So I started a second cubing program to improve that trait while keeping all the other good stuff she brings to the table. The 2016 version helps to do that.
BUT, it could also add color in some phenos.

This was intentional.
I use the coloring to have something to steer AWAY from while it's being refined. It's one of the easier markers to use and since it's a dom trait in much of my work, it will be a good indicator for cubing. Never 100%, but still easy and that along with other key traits will help dial things in and leave the product with an improved taste and smell.
The male being used is a Pure Gooey made from the LED batch of Pure Gooey that got hit with a small amount of Berry mania pollen. This is the blend I'm now using to help remake PG with better tastes. Reports from the stocks of LED Gooey state an amazing taste which folks are after huge and are much sweeter than Mom. The ones having the mania traits are that much better still and colored to some degree.
The male I now use is sat dom and does pass on a better taste to most of the things I've used on with him. I find colors on him only slightly. More in colder temps.
The next release will be a second cubing BX to Mom using a male from the male LED x Mom run, which is the "steering" male used with Mom. The current male is sat dom, but passes the bulky traits Mom has on, so it looks great.



Now to be clear, I am still also following the first path, but in a seperate breeding program so as to keep all things happy and moving forwards. I'm really fine tuning that part of the efforts and those will be awhile out as they are proving fun to deal with and need more work to get what I want from them. Sigh, it never ends, lol.

Hard to describe the CBD high from this flower. The best way i can explain it is it feels like an internal body massage. My head feels like its buzzing but not in a bad way. Almost as if you can feel the energy in your brain buzz around because it's working more efficiently. Helps me with my r.arthritis, PTSD, GI issues and back pain from a spinal fusion.

US court upholds ban on gun sales to marijuana card holders

A federal government ban on the sale of guns to medical marijuana card holders does not violate the Second Amendment, a federal appeals court said Wednesday.

The ruling by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals applies to the nine Western states that fall under the court's jurisdiction, including California, Washington and Oregon.

It came in a lawsuit filed by S. Rowan Wilson, a Nevada woman who tried to buy a firearm in 2011 after obtaining a medical marijuana card.

The gun store refused, citing the federal rule on the sale of firearms to illegal drug users.

Marijuana remains illegal under federal law, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives has told gun sellers they can assume a person with a medical marijuana card uses the drug.

The 9th Circuit in its 3-0 decision agreed that it's reasonable for federal regulators to assume a medical marijuana card holder is more likely to use the drug.

In addition, a ban on the sale of guns to marijuana and other drug users is reasonable because the use of such drugs "raises the risk of irrational or unpredictable behavior with which gun use should not be associated," Senior District Judge Jed Rakoff said.

The 9th Circuit also rejected other constitutional challenges to the ban that were raised by Wilson.

An email to Wilson's attorney was not immediately returned.
